A programme of recipes, menus and sensible nutrient supplements designed to improve health and save lives. The author believes that modern nutritional deficiencies, including Omega-3 EFA, may account for over half of all disease and he aims to show how to rectify this.
This guide is a programme of recipes, menus and sensible nutrient supplements designed to improve health and save lives. The author believes that modern nutritional deficiencies may account for over half of all disease. He argues that cures and vigorous good health occur through adequate nutrition, and when thorough supplements and diet, form part of a healthy life-style. Dr Rudin's book is seen as a breakthrough for nutrition and health. He argues that the Omega-3 essential fatty acids, found in fish oil and nutritional linseed oil, are a missing link in our knowledge of nutrition. He has theorized that a deficiency of Omega-3 EFA is a common element in the diseases of modern times, including cancer, heart disease and mental illness, and he has carried out clinical research to verify the theory. Dr Rudin, a graduate of Harvard Medical School, was, from 1956 to 1980, Director of the Department of Molecular Biology at Eastern Pensylvania Psychiatric Institute. Since 1980 he has been working on a clinical research study of essential fats involving forty-four patients.
