Lynda Wyld is Reader in Surgery at the University of Sheffield and Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital in the UK.  She is the secretary of the Division of Breast Surgery of the UEMS section of surgery, current President of the British Association for Surgical Oncology (BASO), Chair of the Education and Training Committee of the European Society for Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and member of the executive board of the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA).  She has published over 70 papers in peer reviewed journals and 10 book chapters. Christos Markopoulos is Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece and Head of the Breast Unit. He is the President of the Division of Breast Surgery of UEMS Section of Surgery  and the founder and Chair of the Hellenic Society of Breast Surgeons (2000-2015). He is an active member of multiple Breast International Societies, including British Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) and European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA).Professor Markopoulos has published over 300 scientific papers in peer reviewed national and international medical journals having over 4,000 citations and has also authored several books on the management of breast disease. Marjut Leidenius is the Department Head of the Breast Surgery Unit in Comprehensive Cancer Center, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland.  She has been active in national and international societies such as the Finnish Society of Surgery, ESSO (European Society of Surgical Oncology) and EUSOMA (European Society for Breast Specialists). She is currently the ESSO Honorary Secretary and EUSOMA Board member.  She has also been the Chair of the Breast Surgery Division in UEMS Section of Surgery from 2009 to 2016.Marjut Leidenius has published more than 100 original research and review articles in peer reviewed national and international journals. She is also the Associate Editor for Breast Cancer in European Journal of Surgical Oncology (EJSO). Elżbieta Senkus-Konefka is a senior lecturer at the Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy, Medical University of Gdańsk,  Her main scientific interest in breast cancer is the molecular basis of disease in high-risk patients. She is involved in developing international guidelines for early and metastatic breast cancer on behalf of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the European School of Oncology (ESO) and is an ESMO Faculty Member for Breast Cancer. Elżbieta Senkus-Konefka serves as a Specialty Editor for “The Breast” journal and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including courses organized by the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology  (ESTRO) and ESO. She is a member of the ESMO, ESTRO,  the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA) and of Mensa International. She has contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed publications, fifteen book chapters and was an editor of a textbook.
