Surprised by Science: Plants are Powerful!

Sabrina Rose Science Girl (Author) Sabrina Rose, known to the world as Science Girl on social media, has been sharing her love of science online for years. What started as a way to immerse her son in the wonders of nature, now reaches millions of people around the world. Sabrina Rose originally trained in law, but later found herself home-schooling her son with autism. She saw how he thrived outdoors, touching and observing the world around him, improving his speech through investigation. So, she began posting some of the things they studied together, and the world joined them in their awe of science. Sabrina's amazing ability to research, write and inspire wonder has now been turned to writing for children. Surprised by Science is her first series of books for children, with six books to enjoy on subjects from animals to plants, forces to electricity. Ali Ardington (Illustrator) Ali Ardington is a children's book illustrator, designer and author from Oxfordshire. Her childhood was spent with either her nose in a book, or a pencil in hand creating funny monsters that could gobble up her twin brother. Her love for illustration and reading led her happily into children's publishing and she now works on a wide range of books, from picture books to non-fiction and novelty. As busy as she is, juggling kids, spaniels and life, she still always finds time to doodle the odd monster eating brother, for old times' sake.
