Endodontology at a Glance

Professor Paul Dummer is Vice-Dean for Learning, Teaching and Assessment at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University, UK and a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry; he is on the General Dental Council, UK Specialist List in Endodontics. Paul is Editor-in -Chief of the International Endodontic Journal and a Council Member of both the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology. He has published over 130 research and clinical papers in international refereed journals. He is a world authority on root canal treatment and the use of nickel-titanium rotary instruments. Paul has lectured extensively in the UK and overseas and given over 200 hands-on courses on endodontics. Jeremy Hayes is a Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry and Honorary Associate Specialist at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University; he is on the General Dental Council, UK Specialist List in Endodontics. He was the first UK Dental Defence Union Dental Teacher of the Year in 2000/1 and is an examiner for MFDS and the General Dental Council, UK International Qualifying Examination. Jeremy is Associate Editor of the International Endodontic Journal. Paul S McCabe is President-Elect of the Irish Endodontic Society and has been in practice limited to Endodontics for 7 years; he is on the General Dental Council, UK Specialist List in Endodontics. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University and has delivered numerous 'hands-on' courses on Endodontics. Sue Bryant is a Research Fellow in the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University and has published extensively in the field of Endodontics.
