The internationally recognized physician and clinical cancer researcher Heinz Ludwig, M.D. shows how we can go through life healthier, longer, and more fulfilled. Heinz Ludwig, M.D., Professor of Medicine, began his scientific career at the Institute of Immunology at the University of Vienna. His field is internal medicine with a specialty in hematology and oncology. He was a member of the bioethics commission in the office of the Austrian Federal Chancellor, served a term as president of the European Society for Medical Oncology, and was a member of the international board of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is a board member of the International Myeloma Foundation (based in Los Angeles). He is currently the head of the Wilhelminen Cancer Research Institute in Vienna. Prof. Ludwig is a strong supporter of patient education and empowerment and is successfully engaged in basic and clinical research. He has received high honors for his scientific endeavors.
