This textbook provides an invaluable resource for multidisciplinary medical professionals performing structural heart interventions. Chapters contain clear, easy-to-follow guidance on the use of multi-modality imaging and clinical decision-making. Detailed information is given on intraprocedural monitoring and post-procedural evaluation for successful therapeutic intervention. The use of cardiac imaging technologies including three-dimensional echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are presented with images, illustrations, and video material, along with learning objectives, imaging pearls, and key points to reinforce the key concepts described, facilitating a deep understanding of the value of cardiac imaging in line with the latest guidelines.

Cardiac Imaging in Structural Heart Disease:A Textbook for the Heart Team comprehensively discusses the use of the latest methodologies and technologies available in this field of medicine. This Springer Nature Flashcard augmented book is an essential resource for all members of the structural heart team including adult and pediatric cardiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiac sonographers, radiologists and cardiovascular technologists.

Dr. Anita M. Kelsey, MD, MBA, is a Professor of Medicine at Duke University and the Vice Chief of Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging at Duke University Health System. She has more than two decades of experience in Cardiology, working in the field of advanced echocardiography, structural heart disease, cardiovascular education and heart disease in women. She began the interventional echocardiography program at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford CT and built an accredited school of cardiac sonography there and at the Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Kelsey is active in AHA, ACC and ASE, serving as past president of CT AHA BOD's and member of CT ACC BOD.  She has received numerous teaching awards and remains active in the cardiac imaging and structural heart program at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Sreek Vemulapalli MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center with a clinical and research focus on structural heart disease. He serves as medical director of the Duke University Medical Center Cardiac Diagnostic Unit / Echo Laboratory, and leads the interventional echocardiography group. Dr. Vemulapalli's research focus include the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in echocardiography, health policy, real-world evidence and imaging in structural heart disease, and regulatory evaluation of medical devices. Dr. Vemulapalli is the PI of multiple grants/contracts from the National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, American College of Cardiology, and the medical device industry evaluating medical devices and their real-world applications. Dr. Vemulapalli also serves on multiple scientific advisory / steering committees for registry, quality improvement efforts, and clinical trials in structural heart disease.
