The factual database presented on this CD-ROM provides evaluated data on more than 60,000 liquid crystalline compounds with citations including patents. The liquid crystalling phases and states are characterized and the transition temperatures and heats of transition are given. It aims to provide an overall picture of the liquid crystalline field between 1850 and 1995. This allows a ready comparison of corresponding data, and the elucidation of structure-funciton relationships. The database comes with an easy-to-use Windows software for molecule, substructure and data search.
