This CD-ROM combines 259 European hotels, and 81 hotels and inns in North America. There are several ways in which the user can select a hotel. The maps screen enables the user to scroll through the regions of Europe or North America. Once the region has been chosen, one mouse click provides the names of the relevant establishments for the search. If the user wishes to search by type of destination, for instance, ski resorts or a riviera location, or by facilities, click on the relevant symbols and the selection will be presented. The comprehensive search facility selects those establishments which fulfil the user's requirements. Each establishment features colour picture windows which can be enlarged for a closer view. A detailed written text provides specific information and at-a-glance symbols show the variety of facilities available. Most destinations incorporate a local map which can be printed out and a currency conversion table. The audio-video feature brings certain hotels to life with a narrated guided tour.
