Four Fallen Eagles Teacher Lesson Plan

When a raging storm tears four eaglets from their nest to the forest floor, the displaced eaglets proceed on a journey across Turtle Island to rediscover who they are, and their truths. One by one, the eaglets encounter a slew of creatures who hastily tell them who they should be. But will these lost eagles find the guidance they need to reclaim their true identity? 

Through this powerful metaphor, Indigenous author Karen Whetung introduces readers to the impacts of colonization, and the ongoing resiliency and perseverance of Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island.
