He is the author of the books Moving Experiences (John Libbey, 1995), Video Critical (John Libbey, 1997), TV Living (with Annette Hill; Routledge, 1999), and editor of Web.Studies: Rewiring Media Studies in the Digital Age (Arnold, 2000 & 2003). His most recent book, Media, Gender, and Identity: An Introduction, was published by Routledge in 2002. He produces the award-winning website, www.theory.org.uk.
