This book focuses on many aspects of mass transfer dynamics of contamination in fractured media. First, it discusses the concept, structure and properties of fractured media. It then traces topics such as basic law of seepage in fractured media, the basic mass transfer theory of fractured media, numerical simulation of mass transfer process in fractured media, mathematical model and parameter inversion of mass transfer in fractured media and the frontier of mass transfer in fractured media. The book is a comprehensive reference for both graduate students and scientific and technological teams working in the fields of hydrogeology, water conservation, mining and civil engineering, environmental engineering, transportation, civil air defense and national defense.

Prof. Zhi Dou is a full-time professor at Hohai University. He conducts research and teaches in the fields of engineering geology, hydrogeology and environment, groundwater pollution and control. He has led more than 10 research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also done consulting research work for several major national projects in water conservancy and hydropower.

Prof. Zhifang Zhou is a full-time professor at Hohai University. He teaches and conducts research in the field of hydrogeology and engineering geology. His research interests include hydrogeological condition assessment, groundwater pollution and prevention, rock (soil) engineering and environment, etc. He published 8 monographs, textbooks and industry regulations and published more than 150 scientific papers.

Prof. Jinguo Wang is a full-time professor at Hohai University. His research interests include the study of hydrogeological conditions in water resources management and hydropower engineering, hydrogeological parameter acquisition technology, karst groundwater simulation and prediction, and groundwater pollution control. He has published over 130 scientific papers and two monographs, participated in the drafting of three industry regulations, and has 15 invention patents approved.

Prof. Yong Huang is a full-time professor at Hohai University. His research interests involve the study of groundwater issues in engineering, simulation of groundwater flow and solute transport, evaluation of groundwater resources, and inversion simulation of hydrogeological parameters.etc. He has published over 100 scientific papers and one monographs, and has 8 invention patents approved.
