This text presents practical applications of arthroscopic surgical techniques on the shoulder. The introductory chapters cover: the history and early development of arthroscopic procedures in general, with special application to the shoulder; the learning of shoulder arthroscopy; and basic shoulder arthroscopy set-up and equipment for the operating room environment. Subsequent chapters cover: the use of arthroscopic techniques in the diagnosis of various shoulder disorders; treatment of shoulder instability; diagnosis/treatment of rotator cuff injuries; removal of loose bodies; use in arthritis and synovitis; removal of calcifications; the recognition and avoidance of complications; and tips and tricks for better shoulder arthroscopy.
