Blunt’s work is based on primary sources documenting the daily running of the king’s household and will be of interest to scholars researching the court of Charles I and its material culture as well as the religious and political history of his reign.

Nile Blunt earned his B.A. in History at American University in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Early Modern English History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. He is currently an instructor of History at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. At Phillips Academy, Dr. Blunt also serves as the Curriculum Director for the diploma requirement course in Early Modern World and he is the Director of the Academy’s extensive collection of Art and Antiques.
