Set in the Industrial City of Birmingham, LUCID follows student Joseph Jacobs, a Black inner-city geek, as he discovers ancient powers within his dreams, revealing secrets to his forgotten past. In this apocalyptic future, while we sleep, war rages in the twilight hours.
Two opposing forces - Dreams and Nightmares - battle for the sanity and balance of our physical world and waking reality. When you sleep, they wake; when you dream, he walks. Joseph is The Last Dreamwalker, a sleep-walking vigilante, Guardian and Protector of the Veil of Dreams.
Sleeping is no longer safe.
Nightmares have breached our realm's reality.

Oraine Johnson is an actor, composer, singer and writer who lives and works in Birmingham. He has performed at national and international theatre tours, on MTV, and at Latitude festival and the O2 arena in London, and has composed for Shakespeare productions and produced music for Warner Brothers records. He created Lucid to represent a diverse modern fresh story that would allow a multicultural cast to be a part of a fantastic story set in the U.K.
