The GI/ITG International Conference on Architecture of Computing Systems (ARCS) has over 30 years of tradition reporting high quality results in computer architecture and operating systems research. ARCS is an important forum for computer architecture research and has a tradition to include associated workshops and tutorials, both complementing the program of the conference with specific topics within the technical scope of the conference. The 28th edition of ARCS was held in Porto, Portugal, from March 24 to March 27, 2015, being
the associated workshops organized on March 24, 2015. The event was organized by the CISTER Research Centre, and hosted by the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic of Porto.
We were pleased to include in this edition of ARCS the following one half-day and three full-day workshops:
- 1st Workshop on Complex Problems over High Performance Computing Architectures (CPHPCA'15)
- 2nd International Workshop on Multi-Objective Many-Core Design (MOMAC'15)
- 3rd InternationalWorkshop on Self-optimisation in Organic and Autonomic Computing Systems (SAOS'15)
- 11th Workshop on Dependability and Fault Tolerance (VERFE'15)
Besides invited talks, all the workshops included presentations of papers selected as a result of a peer reviewing process applied to all the papers submitted. This proceedings volume consists of the papers selected by the workshop organizers with the help of the program committees of the respective workshops.
I would like to thank the General Chairs of ARCS'2015, Luis Miguel Pinho and Wolfgang Karl, for all the help and support regarding the organization of the workshops. A special thanks goes to Thilo Pionteck, the Publication Chair of ARCS'2015, for his help regarding the proceedings, and to VDE Verlag for publishing this volume with the workshops proceedings. Last but not least, I would like to thank all the workshop organizers, committee members, authors, reviewers and attendees. I hope you enjoy reading the papers included here and
I also hope they contribute to further research ideas and results.
