For many decades, ultrasonic flowmetering has been used for liquids. From the mid seventies, the principle of transit time has been more and more successfully tested for various purposes in the metering of gas, e.g. flare gas metering, domestic gas flowmetering, and even fiscal and custody measurements of gas.This book unifies the basic principles, design, tests and installation effects in a self contained pedagogical unit with "hands-on" problems for the students as well as the professional. The book contains solved problems and end-of- chapter problems. The enclosed diskette provides a number of MATLAB programs to work with along with the text.
