Skin Care by Skin Type

The concept of this DVD is based on the notion that when creating a skin care program, much attention is made on the skin condition, instead of skin type. However, skin conditions are related to the dryness, oiliness, sensitivity, and, combination conditions of the skin. It discusses the Fitzpatrick Skin Typing method and the characteristics of each skin types I to IV. It also takes it one step further by allowing the clinician to put it to use as home programs and clinical treatments are developed for each skin type. With this resource, students will learn about the history of skin care, how to define skin type and condition, identify the common skin conditions associated with different skin types, and how to recommend appropriate home care regimes. Skin conditions which are covered in this program are Normal, Dry, Oily, Sensitive, and Combination. Students will discover the most commonly used at-home and therapeutic skin care products, including ingredients incorporated with specified treatments. Includes interactive trivia with the option to watch the video with trivia questions.
