Amsterdam-based photographer Cris Toala Olivares (1982) travels around the world, chasing his own stories and the world news. As a teenager he moved from Ecuador to the Netherlands. With a photo of the tear gas attack by Israeli on Palestinean olive farmers, he won the 'Zilveren Camera' (silver camera) in 2009. Nowadays he works for international media such as Reuters, National Geographic and der Spiegel.
