Harry's Bar opened in 1911 in Rue Daunou, and since that time has been patronized by a stellar
list of celebrities including Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda, Marlene Dietrich,
Marcel Cerdan, Marguerite Duras, François Weyergans, Quentin Tarantino, Étienne Daho,
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Julie Depardieu, and Morgan Freeman. For the past hundred years,
it has been the setting for many extraordinary happenings, and has seen the birth of lively
traditions and great cocktails, including the Bloody Mary.
