Shannon B. Dermer, PhD, LMFT, is the Interim Dean of the College of Education and Chair of its Division of Psychology and Counseling at Governor’s State University. She was the co-editor of the SAGE Encyclopedia of Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling, co-editor of Poisonous Parenting: Toxic Relationships Between Parents and Their Adult Children (Routledge), and (co)author of a number of journal articles on family therapy.
