Each channel equalization topic is presented with incremental learning methodology from the very fundamental concept to more advanced mathematical knowledge Typically used in Europe and very successful in their school system Homework problems are provided Useful as a reference book for practicing wireless engineers.
In the past, channel equalization was addressed as a single chapter in a digital communications textbook for graduate students. The area has developed and increased so significantly that there is now a need for an entire textbook devoted to this subject. Filling this need for expanded coverage, Channel Equalization: From Concepts to Detailed Mathematics presents each channel equalization topic with incremental learning methodology, from the very fundamental concept to more advanced mathematical knowledge. Offering basic concepts to more complex modeling techniques, this textbook is suitable for both practicing wireless communication engineers and graduate students.

Gregory E. Bottomley received his PhD in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University in 1989 and has eighteen years of industrial experience in wireless communications research at Ericsson. Serving as editor-in-chief for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology from 2000-2003, Dr. Bottomley holds more than one hundred U.S. patents, in addition to publishing thirteen journal papers, six journal letters, an encyclopedia article and forty-five conference papers. He was Ericsson Inventor of the Year in 1997 and IEEE Fellow in 2007.
